It's officially only 38 days until Aaron and I find out where we'll be living for first 3 to 4 years of our marriage. It could quite literally be anywhere. Charleston? Seattle? Dover? Anchorage? Enid, Oklahoma? Take your pick. Of course, we have our very own pick, but we'll see what the Air Force has in store for us on May 23rd at Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma at 6 pm--that's the date of his Assignment Night--a big ceremony where the Instructor Pilots basically roast and toast the students and, after torturing them, reveal the big question that they've all been working so hard towards, some for years--What plane will I be flying? That's kind of a big deal. Plus it more or less will set the tone for the next 20 or so years of our lives... It's exciting and weird and stressful and suspenseful-- and a little bizarre for someone else (the United States Government in particular)--to be telling us where we'll go and what he'll be doing.
So stay tuned, for in 39 days, I'll probably be blogging about what the big news is... and where you can all start sending our mail (Gifts, in particular...) :)
